haircut for the wild hair

Rachel got her first haircut this week. She did excellent sitting and was very quiet about it. She still has her curls and her carefree look we love but it looks cleaner!

 

christmas memories

 We had lots of fun plans for Christmas this year. We made so many new memories, here are a few...

We were able to see all of our family this year. First was the Hendzel Christmas celebration.

 Next was Christmas Eve. We celebrated as a family at our house. Church, ham and gifts.

 All they wanted was a Jack in the Box. Now we have 2. They were HAPPY!

 And the girls made Daddy a Christmas pinata. HAPPY!

 And the got a new doll house. Actually this doll house was one my sister's and I played with as kids. My Grandpa Hendzel made it! HAPPY!

Then came Christmas Day! Driving to North Dakota. HAPPY! Okay well, happy when we got here...

winter fun

 The kids have been waiting to decorate the house for Christmas since October. So after Thanksgiving when we did get the boxes out they were head over heels. The girls hung the ornaments, unwrapped manger pieces and got into a few things too!

 "Look....warm snow..."

 Rachel can be so funny. She is pretending along side Abigail and here I thought was so cute. She came crawling on her belly saying "I am a dolphin in the ocean"

 Rachel also had her first dentist appointment! She was such a little lady. Both girls were. I may be bias but we have the best dentist.

the season for dress up

 This Halloween we had a few events that were fun to go to. A few weeks before Halloween our church hosted a fall festival with games and prizes and bible stories. Dressed at Princess Tinker Bell and Minnie Mouse the girls had fun going around the activities.

Then the weekend before we got dressed up for a day with the grandparents and Aunties for trick or treating in the local grocery store....

 We have been up and down with colds already this season. And Abigail came down with an ear infection which totally wiped her out. Rachel got pink eye and we had several days of rest. But we were able to carve a pumpkin despite that. His name was Happy Joe.

 The day of Halloween was nice. Abigail was the official candy passer outer and Rachel held on to me with all her strength. We went to a couple of neighbor's but then stayed home for the hundreds.
