father's day, flying & food

For Father's day we celebrated Jake and my Dad over lunch. Jake is the best Dad and has such a special bond with our girls.

Just yesterday after Jake came home from work Abigail looks around for him and said "Where is Daddy? I think I will go find him." Rachel smiles and waves her arms and kicks her legs when she first see him.

Jake has also been taking flying lessons. On Father's Day while my parents watched the girls I flew with Jake for the first time! His instructor was with us and we flew over our town, a lot of farm land and little lakes. The country side was beautiful and it was fun spending time with Jake.

Lastly, Rachel has decided she would rather eat table food instead of her baby food. Although I still want her to eat baby food she will push the little spoon away. She still loves to eat and tries anything I give her.

Heringer family reunion & family visit

We just returned home from a week of great Heringer family time. We come from a big family of Heringer's and were so blessed to spend a weekend with the majority of the families for a reunion.

"All because two people fell in love"
We were busy with lots of fun activities to keep everyone entertained. But the best part for Jake and I were talking with our cousins we haven't seen in a while. The best part for Abigail was seeing her Arizona cousins she use to spend time with.

Jake took Abigail down this big water slide! It was fun for the kiddos.
Among many activities we had a summer Olympics.
Rachel cheered for Abigail and for Daddy!

After the reunion we went to Jake's parents house. Jake's brother and sister and their families were also there as well as Racquel and her family (from AZ).

Papa Wayne was the best at taking the kids outside to swing or play in the sand.

Group shot. We had so much fun!
We met Tanya's daughter Tarin for the first time! Rachel is only 2 weeks older.

we have been waiting for this

Yesterday afternoon the clouds parted, and although the wind blew it was warm, warm, warm. 80 degree warm. I loved it. So did the girls. We love, love the warm temperatures. And we love, love water.

They splashed so much that most of the water was on their clothes and the ground when we were done. I think all of the neighbors heard our excited screams!
