ooh, ahhhs & night, nights

Nana Jude & Papa Wayne have been part of Abigail's night, night routine for the last 2 months. We often had dinner together and they hung out while we gave her a bath. Bath time is a favorite and funny time for us. Abigail loves to run nude around the house before and after while smiling the entire time. After getting dressed she will bring her hairbrush out to papa and have her hair done. He does a great job!

After reading a few books to Abigail we ask her to give ooh, ahhhs (hugs) and say night, night. She will walk around giving hugs to everyone and then waves night, night and love you as we walk into her room.
It's been really fun and such a blessing having her grandparents with us. We will miss our 2 snowbirds very much!

Today Abigail joined me in the kitchen to help cook. She stood on my step stool and taste tested some of the ingredients.

She loves eating sour cream and butter. Abigail would seriously eat a stick of butter if I let her.

I love to bake and I had such fun with Abigail helping me.

Abigail is learning so much every week and it's really amazing to see her personality shine. Here are a few of her favorite things she is up to:

-Coloring with markers and playing with stickers. She will put the stickers on the paper and then color over them with her markers.

-She favors her left hand. (although not in this photo)

-Being outside. She LOVES this. She especially likes to pick up stones, point at "birdies"& play with bubbles.

-Abigail also is getting into jewelry. She is wearing headband bows, sunglasses and necklaces.

-Reading books. We have read our books so much Jake & I know many of them by heart.

-In addition to an increased vocabulary and 2 word sentences, Abigail is able to say her name. She can also say her BFF's name...Addysen.

Those are a few things that really stand out to me about Abigail right now!

fun at the mall

A trip to the mall sometimes also means a ride on the carousal. Daddy & Nana Jude joined Abigail for a ride on the eagle's wings. All smiles!

Outside the mall is a nice water fountain. It totally rocked for Abigail. I think she will be "that kid" in kindergarten for group pictures...!

Then she had to touch the water but only with one finger.

Baby bump picture. That's me at 14 weeks along wearing my regular jeans but tied with a rubber band for more room.

Abigail loves to read even if it's a card.

road trip

We decided to go on a road trip... okay so the road trip was only about 25 minutes but that's okay. We left after Abigail's nap. She was still waking up and was pretty mellow when we started out. I couldn't get to her smile for the life of me.

We drove to Fountain Hills. It's a beautiful city just north of us. They have this awesome park where we fed the ducks. The ducks saw us coming or else smelled the bread because they came running.

Soon there were at least 30 ducks at our feet feasting away. Even Abigail was getting bread to them.

Then we walked to the playground and then to the edge of the pond. There we waited...

Waited for what Abigail got really happy about and is pointing at...

The fountain. Wow. Cool. It's not just any water fountain.

I mean, they named the city after this fountain. It shoots up 300 feet in the air.

It's totally worth it. The fountain goes off on the top of the hour for 10 minutes.

Afterward we drove around the city looking at huge houses built into the side of mountains and stopped at an awesome pizza joint called Rendendo's Pizza.

A little bit of money, tons of fun.

My side of the family are huge Disney fans. Growing up we visited the Disney parks many times. Abigail has found a liking towards Minnie Mouse. She recognizes Minnie when she see's her too. So when she got this outfit, doll and matching gloves Abigail sure was excited.

I am excited to take Abigail to Disney Land one day and have her meet Minnie in person!

animals

Today we went to the Phoenix Zoo. I have been wanting to take Abigail there and having my family in town was the perfect time to do it. We all really loved the zoo and had fun showing Abigail all the amazing creatures. Abigail wanted to be held see all the animals. She would point and say "animal." When we saw the monkeys she even said "monkey" and made the monkey sounds!

We had some awesome up close encounters with a few of the animals.... Rinos!
The giraffes!! A favorite where we all fed them. Abigail too and the look on her face was pure excitement.
A baboon!
We had a great time at the zoo. It was beautiful outside and was a beautiful and fun zoo.

girls week

This week is all girls...except for Jake and if this baby is a boy! Anyway, my sisters and mom are here visiting us. They are totally loving up on Abigail and are relaxing poolside! Abigail is still getting over from being sick but is having fun with her family.
