fly daddy fly - part 2

Last week or so I posted about Jake giving the girls airplane rides with his arms and legs. This time Jake gave Abigail and I a ride in the real airplane.

I was a little nervous but once we were in the air and Abigail was having fun looking out and talking on the headset we really enjoyed it.

Jake loves to fly and it's fun to be able to fly with him.

smiles and giggles and screams

The girls really like playing together. Rachel will do anything to be with Abigail. She is walking really good now and chases after Abigail.
Abigail also likes to make Rachel giggle. This doesn't take much work because Rachel loves to smile and giggle. The giggles lead into the screams. Happy screams. They get this from me... Today Abigail announced that "we scream because we are girls." If fun for me to capture these moments when they are playing together!

***************

Next to our house we notice something white so while Jake was watching Rachel we had to check it out....
It was the biggest mushroom I have ever seen. God creates some pretty cool things!
At first Abigail wasn't too sure about it but soon was okay touching it and then proceeded to pound on it with her shovel. When we were down there was no longer a big mushroom in the grass.

fly daddy fly

Summer means having rain and thunderstorms. They are fun to watch and check the radar. We don't lack in the "play" department when we are inside, especially when Jake's home.

The girl's love to fly with Jake.
We love how Rachel is snuggling close to Jake.

We love our girls!

kick, splash

Swim lessons for Abigail!

She has always really loved the water and learning more about how to actually swim has been great. After these lessons are over we are going to try to get to the pool more often and keep the lessons coming! Another great thing about the pool is that we walk just a few short blocks and were there!

Highlights for Abigail: "blowing bubbles, watching the diving board and back floating."

Her biggest fan! Rachel can't wait to get in the water too and often comes home pretty wet from the pool deck.

hey look mom...

We have had a few really fun "hey look what I am doing" moments. They ended up with us laughing and then changing clothes.

Hey Look Mom:

Abigail finger painting and making hand prints. The choice color was blue. She had blue on her face, tummy and hands.

Hey Look Mom:

I walked away from the girls for a few minutes when I heard Abigail saying "I am washing Rachel's hair." I found Abigail literally washing Rachel's hair with bubble soap!

Hey Look Mom:

Rachel has learned how to stand up on her own. She is also able to take 2-3 steps on her own.

Abigail found a little mud puddle. She had her skin covered until Daddy helped her get cleaned up. Rachel was planted firm in one spot but if she could walk we would have had 2 girlies to clean.
