I am sitting at the table next to a fireplace typing this. It is heavenly especially since it is still extremely cold outside. Jake is loving it. He tells me, "it's not that bad." However when it came time to go to church we decided that I would stay home with the girly and not take her out in the 20 below weather. I have not ventured out too much either and let me tell you, it's that bad!! It is also snowing right now. It's a light and slow falling and very beautiful. I would love to take Abigail out and put her in the snow but I don't think that is going to happen.
Lastly we ate steaks for dinner tonight. North Dakota steaks. Jake is really happy now. We plan on eating steaks at least two or three more times.

I'm with you, Erin, 20 below IS that bad! Jake must really like that weather. I think I would have stayed home from church too :).
Ha! I agree that 20 below IS that bad too...although I think about 50 above IS that bad too. :-)
I'm wondering if any of Erin's readers know what a block heater is.
A friend, from South Carolina, was up here one summer and asked if "that cord is supposed to be coming out of the front of this vehicle?" She still gets teased for that!
She now lives up here and I was SO proud of her when she said that getting up to around zero degrees (without the wind chill) was pretty good. Bravo, Carol!
It is a beautiful white Christmas up here. I'm very glad you kept Abigail in where it was warm and safe. She can do the snow thing in years to come.
Happy Christmas! It's going to get up to 16 degrees - should be good travel to my parents - 75 miles away.
